In the mind of a Wilson

It's been a long, long time....

Since I have posted - I have been pretty hectic busy at work so it's left little time for me to post during the day and our evenings always seem to be filled.

So I have a few minutes before its lunch time (boy am I hungry!) so I thought I'd post something.

Well in the last few weeks life has been full of scrapbooking (which I feel the addiction is growing, I love it!) and seeing friends (love that too!).

Yesterday Curtis and I went to The Overcoat at the Citadel, we went for the rush tix so its half price. It was an interesting play, no words, all music, and it was classical. Good yet strange, lots of artsy things and I must say the part that sticks out is the majorly buff guys sewing on the old fashion sewing machine (I think there were 5) with no shirts and overalls. WEIRD - too many things to say about that. :) hahah.

It was a nice out with my hubby, and of course it was after my pilates class which has been awesome. I am not dropping major pounds but I am certain I am getting toner cuz my pants dont feel so tight anymore! So all is well, and it is so relaxing to come out of there after a busy day at work, it's like a massage. So that's what we've been up to lately.

This coming week will have more fun in store I am sure.

New Project!

So last night I attended my first late night crop - which I must admit was pretty fun, fun people, food and scrapbooking :) I've been working on finishing our Disneyland scrapbook which when I am done I will take pictures and post. I am almost done - and next Saturday I've registered for this ultra cool class that is the trendy, modern version of a perpetual calender - something to track the important birthdays and anniversaries etc!

INTENSE

My first pilates class was .... well... INTENSE! Definitely zero impact in that department but insanely a hard workout - also I dropped in on week 9 of an 11 week course, it was of course beginner but I have never known you could get such a hard workout! We used little weights and this styrofoam noodle thing and of course mat, but I know that this will definitely give me what I'm looking for - toning of the softness. In combination with the cardio I will be doing and also the eating plan Curtis and I have also started today too...so healthy all around not just one area.
I'm excited to continue these pilates classes, I definitely enjoy that ALOT more than lifting weights - I don't think I was ever cut out for that.
So here's to a great work out and inspiration to go for it !

Speed Scrabble

Well this weekend was nice and relaxing - I got my hair cut at Eveline Charles Academy...that was not as relaxing. The student had a mind of his own and my haircut I wanted to my shoulders ended up a haircut to my chin -thankfully his teacher fixed my hair - I must say I do like it now but thank goodness she was there....this is what you do to get a $15 hair cut plus it was a total of 2.5 hrs I was there! Not quite sure if I will return, we'll see.
We also played Speed Scrabble with some friends- I must say it's quite addicting! And played with our friends kids - Calia is one cute baby, growing big and cute! We had a great time with our mentor couple on Saturday night too so that was fab.
And today we met Curtis' parents at the airport, they just returned home from being in the Phillipines for 3 weeks - and it was there first international flight. Sounds like they had alot of fun adn we are glad, the whole family looked a little browned and tired and I'm not sure this weather was very welcoming but we were glad to see them.
That's what's been going on the last little while.
Oh and pilates starts tommorow - I am pretty excited!

PILATES

INTEGRATION PILATES STUDIO

So I decided to put my plan into action (no time like the present, right?) - I'm now the proud attender of Integration Pilates Studio - well to be that is, I start next week. My plan is to go to Mat Pilates for the next bit including my 1 mile walks 3 times a week and its a work out that I'll actually enjoy and not dread going to. That's new - usually I dont want to go to the gym but know I should, now I'm actually going to WANT to go - plus I get to go with a friend on one of the days I'll be attending.

This will be fun - and hopefully I'll become "long and lean!" tee hee! And get rid of my "rounding figure" - good by softness hello toneness!
